Making a Sanctuary—Man is to use what God has provided

Sanctuary Defined—Clean Place or Holy Place

Dwelling Defined—Settle, reside, to be enthroned; its a verb, some action is going on by the dweller

Dwell AMONG---In the middle of; center: Israel’s life was to be centered around God—Benefit of Direction & Protection

Ex.29:45 “And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.”

1 Kings 6:13 “And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”

Dwell IN---2 Cor.6:16 “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” —Ideal of controlling or decision making

Dwell WITH—Rev.21:3 “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.” —This gives a sense of unity or oneness in fellowship & Objective

East side: Numbers 2:3 Judah, Issachar, Zebulun

Tabernacle of the Lord vs.17
West side: Numbers 2:18 Ephraim, Manasseh, Benjamin
North side: Numbers 2:25 Dan, Asher, Naphtali

John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
